A Note from the Principal

Welcome to the Forest Lake Area Community School and thanks for visiting our website! We hope that you find the information contained here to be useful and informative. Please visit our school and experience first hand the warm, caring and student-centered school that has been created among staff, families and our community.

We believe that connecting with our students and building a safe and healthy learning environment is essential for student success. Our staff members work very hard to ensure that students are supported academically and socially. Our focus on providing a rigorous academic program and many options for elective courses and opportunities for students to be challenged is a priority. We have created a school community where every student's individuality and needs are considered when out instructional practices are implemented. We offer a wide-range of support for students including mental health support through therapists and counselors. 

Our staff members meet in professional learning communities where we collaboratively pursue innovation in our classrooms. Forest Lake Area Community School offers students a memorable, student centered experience that focuses on critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity. Our emphasis on 21st Century Skills prepares our students to discover careers and college readiness. We believe that it is critical for students to be prepared for a globally competitive world and offer many opportunities through our daily advisory program for guidance and support.

We focus on offering a positive climate through our shared beliefs through our structured PBIS. Our students and staff understand that a school environment that is positive, respectful, innovative, disciplined, and focuses on excellence creates a positive climate for all to achieve.
