Summer School

Summer School (Grades K–5)

The K–5 Summer School Program provides students with engaging learning opportunities designed to strengthen academic skills while fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence. The program focuses on reinforcing key concepts in literacy and mathematics through hands-on, interactive lessons that keep students actively engaged throughout the summer. In addition to academic instruction, students participate in enrichment activities that encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth in a supportive learning environment.

Summer School helps students maintain academic progress, build essential skills, and prepare for a successful transition into the upcoming school year. Our dedicated teachers create meaningful learning experiences that meet students where they are, celebrate individual growth, and inspire a love of learning. The program is available to eligible students in grades K–5, with enrollment based on district criteria and available programming.

Summer School (Grades 6–8)

The Grades 6–8 Summer School Program provides students with a unique and engaging learning experience designed to strengthen academic skills while preparing them for success in school, career, and life. The program offers targeted instruction in math and literacy, helping students build foundational skills, increase confidence, and close learning gaps through individualized support and small-group instruction.

In addition to academic learning, students participate in hands-on, project-based experiences that develop employability skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, responsibility, critical thinking, time management, and perseverance. Real-world learning opportunities encourage students to apply academic concepts in meaningful ways while exploring personal interests and future career pathways.

Our supportive learning environment emphasizes student growth, relationship building, and personalized instruction, ensuring each student has the opportunity to succeed. Through a combination of academic intervention, enrichment activities, and career readiness experiences, the Grades 6–8 Summer School Program helps students strengthen essential skills, build confidence, and prepare for a successful transition into the next school year.

Summer Credit Recovery (Grades 9–12)

The Grades 9–12 Summer Credit Recovery Program provides students with the opportunity to recover credits needed for graduation in a flexible, supportive learning environment. Students work on the specific course standards they have not yet mastered rather than repeating an entire course. Upon enrollment, each student's academic progress is reviewed to determine which standards have already been successfully completed. Students are then evaluated only on the remaining standards needed to earn course credit.

Through individualized learning plans, students receive targeted instruction, teacher support, and ongoing feedback as they demonstrate mastery of the required standards. This personalized approach allows students to focus their time and effort on areas of need, accelerate their learning, and efficiently recover credit while building the knowledge and skills necessary for future academic success.
